Project Statement

The life-blood of our multimedia culture is music. Watch your favorite suspense thriller without sound and you will see how the musical score changes and shapes the viewers emotional experience. In an effort to explore this connection further, I created a flash marketing teaser for an event.

Film scores are usually written after the film is completed and timed to both compliment and add meaning to scenes. Instead of starting with an idea or an underlying concept, I began with the music.

This was an interesting working experience as it forced me to use the music as a starting point, interpret the emotion and meaning in it, then design a flash teaser to both display and further this emotion.
